Pure are currently recruiting an Audit Executive in Cambridge for one of the regions most respected and successful accountancy firms. Be part of a dynamic and growing successful team. The Cambridge audit team offers you an engaging environment to develop yourself and work with a broad range of exciting clients. These range from early stage and pre-revenue businesses, established well-known local and regional businesses, to internationally operating groups and AIM listed corporates. These share one key characteristic; an instinct for growth.

The Audit Executive plays a central role within the Assurance team. The successful candidate will work as part of the team, leading on site audit teams, effectively providing a hands on compliance and/or advisory role that exceeds client's expectations. You'll take an active part in the audit planning discussions to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy whilst overseeing all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion. You'll produce client deliverables specifically drafting sections of the report to management. You'll address, discuss and advance conclusions in respect of technical and audit issues identified during the course of the audit. You'll maintain an up to date understanding of client businesses and good working relationships with client staff. You'll play a key part in the day to day management of the audit whilst on site, dealing with matters as they arise and coaching other team members

Education and qualifications:
You will be in your final year or newly qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent
You will be educated to at least A-level standard
You'll have maths and English GCSE or equivalent
You will have experience of performing audit work and have a good understanding of auditing standards and financial reporting standards, ideally both UKGAAP and IFRS
You will ideally have some experience of providing on the job support and development of less experienced team members
You will be IT literate, confident in using Microsoft Office applications, and ideally business software such as Caseware, and/or proprietary audit software
