Salary£11 - £14 per hour
A highly reputable Newmarket company currently seek a credit controller for a period of 6 months. This role will support the wider finance team and this position will be responsible for the following:

The main duties of the role are as follows:
• Check customer's credit and approve or deny applications
• Negotiate payment plans with customers
• Maintain accurate records of debtors, analyse the effectiveness of the credit control system and implement changes to improve income and reduce bad debts
• Ensure customers pay on time and chase any overdue invoices
• Develop the credit control system in collaboration with different department heads
• Improve and implement debt collection processes when there are any overdue invoices or payments, and initiate legal procedures if necessary
• Adhoc finance tasks

Neccassary skills:
• Excellent teamwork, organization and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail
• Proven track record of making successful credit decisions
• Familiarity with data entry and analysis
• The ability to listen to customers and negotiate winning solutions
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Self-Motivated and proactive
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage own workload and be flexible
• Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent understanding of sales systems and processes
• Confidence in dealing with internal and external people, both on the phone and face to face
