My client based on the outskirts of Ipswich, are seeking a Postal & Maintenance Assistant to join their team ASAP. This role is likely to be ongoing until the end of January 2021 (possibly longer), and requires somebody who is happy to take on some physical duties, outside of the office environment.

Part Time Hours - Monday - Friday 08:00 - 12:30 (22 hours per week)

Must be happy to work full time 08:00 - 17:00 during certain periods, such as covering annual leave for other team members.

It is essential that you drive for this role, and you must hold a manual driving licence.


Postal Duties:

  • Handling incoming and outgoing post and parcels
  • Logging post and deliveries using an internal database system
  • Liaising with team members and Royal Mail daily
  • Organising and processing post with efficiently and accuracy
  • At times, leaving site to hand deliver post/parcels around Ipswich
  • Working with Microsoft Outlook


Maintenance Duties:

  • Keeping the office site and surrounding areas clean and tidy at all times
  • Clearing footpaths and the staff car park, when required
  • Reporting any concerns relating to damage or safety, to the appropriate manager
  • Maintaining landscaping and gardens on site


Experience Required:

  • You must hold a full UK driving licence for a manual car
  • Happy to take on some physical duties
  • Open to responsibility, in the absence of a Manager
  • Knowledge of health & safety procedures
  • Computer literate, within Micrcosoft Office including Outlook
