This role sits within a world leading manufacturing business renowned for quality and innovation, exquisite products and providing outstanding customer service. The company is established, with a rich history and is one of the most respected leaders in its field.

Critical to the company's success, is their ability to deliver quality products on time and within very short timeframes. As such, the role of Supply Chain Manager is predominately focused on procurement and managing stores to ensure customer demands are met.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement
• Continuously develop effective relationships with suppliers ensuring outstanding product quality and first class efficiencies are delivered at all times
• Continuous review of contracts, KPI's and negotiating supplier terms
• Proactive supply chain management to identify the very best products for both cost and performance
• Managing minimum / safety stock levels
• Managing supply and demand, working closely with design and sales teams
• This is a raw materials environment and will need strong understanding of product to ensure buying occurs at the right time to manage costs and stock levels
Stores
• Providing leadership to the team ensuring timely adherence to picking
• Managing master production schedules
• Managing timely deliveries both in and out
• Managing accurate stock levels

Skills and Attributes required

• Extensive exposure to procurement within a fast paced and short lead-time manufacturing / FMCG environment
• Collaborative style to teamwork and leadership
• Problem solver and somebody who provides solutions
• Background in the delivery of change projects and process improvements
• Capable of working within technical product background
• Strong communicator both verbal and written
