This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, reliable and enthusiastic Senior Merchandiser to join the growing buying team of a leading online retail brand. You will work closely with the Product Manager to plan and build our range, taking control of stock levels to maximise profit and coordinating our team of proficient merchandisers.

Core Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the smooth running of daily stock
• Forecasting sales and stock level to achieve sales plans
• Proactively monitor sales and stock in order to optimise sales and margin performance
• Raising orders with UK and Far East suppliers
• Timely approval of purchase order payments and the additional actions required
• Evaluate the running's of the department whilst focusing on lead times and general performance
• Prepare and analyse sales and forecast reports, making recommendations as necessary
• Create and maintain all product safety and technical files
• Coordinate in the development of key QA processes
• Ensuring products ship on time and in line with seasonal product launches
• Working closely with other departments to successfully plan product launches
• Ensure products are being merchandised correctly online and in catalogue
• Manage clearance stock through off price channels
• Develop and build strong relationships with suppliers
• Negotiate best prices with suppliers and constantly review margins/profit
• Ability to manage, coach and motivate colleagues. Proven experience at coordinating a team


Skills required:
• Proven experience in a similar role
• Experience of working in an online retail environment (would be advantageous)
• Experience of working in the FMCG industry (would be advantageous)
• IT literate and able to manage, process and upload large volumes of data
• High level Microsoft Excel skills
• Extensive experience in planning, merchandise and direct sourcing
• High quality planning and organisational skills
• Excellent communications, interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to quickly build effective relationships
