Pure are recruiting for an exciting opportunity working as a People Partner for a public sector organisation on part time basis (30 hours per week). The role is a 12 month fixed term contract. Salary £32,280 PA ( Pro rata to 30 hours per week)

Job Purpose
The role will be working alongside two other People Partners all with your own specific areas to focus on. The role will be focusing on the South Cambridgeshire area. The role will be responsible for advising/ coaching and supporting employees and managers within the business. This role requires you to have a full driving licence as the role will be mainly based at the head office in Huntingdon but at times will be required to travel to other sites across Cambridgeshire. They are also offering from home working based on the current government guidelines.

Job responsibilities
• Providing people management and leadership skills as well as giving constructive feedback on peoples actions and behaviours
• Escalate any issues that arise to the People Manager in a timely manner, whilst also supporting the team to help resolves these issues
• Coach, advise and support other team members across all sites within the South Cambridgeshire to help support and develop the team
• Deliver a creative, proactive and practical solutions to peoples challenges and help provide support and solutions to these challenges as well as encourage personal development
• Provide training in people skills to other members of the team
• Ensure the People Manager is kept aware of the teams overall performance and workload
• Advise and coach the service managers to ensure they understand the terms and conditions of service, employment law and HR policies and procedures
• Work closely with managers to provide advice in consideration to sickness, grievances and absence within the team
• Adhering to and maintaining health and safety policies
• Organising , suggesting and implementing changes to working practices in order to consistently improve customer service quality and the teams efficiency

Skills required

• Preference to be CIPD Level 7 qualified or equivalent professional qualification
• Full CIPD membership and coaching qualification is desirable
• Must have full UK driving licence
• Previous knowledge of HR best practice and previous experience of updating HR policies
• Strong knowledge of engaging and advising employees and manager at all levels
• Able to build a strong relationships with managers and employees at all levels
• Ideally previous experience of working with a HR/ payroll database. Advantageous not essential
