Salary£30000 - £34000 per annum
A business based near Cambourne currently seek a Payroll Manager for a period of 12 months. This role will work alongside a payroll officer and support the wider HR team.

The main duties of the role will be as follows:
• Preparation of all monthly and four weekly salaries for payment by BAC's
• Ensure all payroll systems, records and returns are maintained and completed in accordance of Accepted Accounting Principles and Statutory Requirements
• Allocation of employee costs and deductions to relevant cost centre or balance sheet control account
• Preparation of monthly variance analysis between actual payroll costs and budgeted payroll costs
• Reconcile payroll database to HR database on a monthly basis
• Support HR to calculate and verify redundancy payments
• Reconcile P35 to general ledger costs
• Administration of sick, absence, SMP and SPP
• Completion and control of all PAYE returns on an ad hoc, weekly, monthly or annual basis to relevant internal or external bodies
• Be first point of contact and liaise with Inland Revenue/Social Security personnel on routine audits
• RTI Responsibilities for Compliance with regulations to HMRC

Annual Budget
• Prepare salary budgets, to include Gross pay, Employer's NI contributions and Employer's Pension contributions
Supervision of Staff
• Provide supervision, coaching and monthly one to ones with direct reports
• Conduct annual appraisals, including update of job descriptions and training plans
• Continuous review and development of systems and processes with a view to increasing efficiency, improving the financial information and ensuring adequate internal controls are in place
• Training HR Admin to cover any absences in the payroll dept
