This position could be full time 37.5 hours a week or part time minimum of 30 hours a week across 4 or 5 days.
Supporting a Head of Payroll with processing 100+ monthly and annually payrolls. Each payroll varies from 1-2 employees up to 200 employees. The role will be involved in the following areas;
-Liaison with clients and processing of payrolls
-Advising the regular amounts due to be paid to HMRC
-Knowledge to support with of SMP, SPP and SSP
-Knowledge of pension contributions and tax relief
-Processing company car and fuel benefits
-Liaison with HMRC
-Ensuring that all RTI reporting requirements are met
-Setting up client payrolls for Workplace Pensions
-Administering enrolments and contributions to comply with pension regulations
-Resolving any client queries related with payroll
It is essential to have excellent communication skills both spoken and written, good attention to detail and be competent Excel user. Experience of working within a practice would be an advantage but is not essential. Previous experience of using EARNIE software would be a bonus.
