Salary£38,000 - £40,000
An excellent newly created role has arisen with a successful and growing SME organisation which is part of a well-established group. The group are leaders in their field across the UK and provide a high level of service to all of their customers. This is a newly created role to lead on all aspects of HR for a business of circa 50 employees (and growing), it's a stand alone role but will have support from the wider group functions including expertise within Learning and Development and Talent Acquisition.

As a stand alone HR Manager role, you will have overall responsibility for all aspects of Human resources across the business from setting the strategy through to the day to day administration of the function.
This is a successful and growing entrepreneurial business that would benefit from a practical, proactive and positive HR professional to manage operational activities, but also someone who can bring new ideas, promote best practice and partner with the management team.

Duties and responsibilities will include;

• Establishing a new HR function within the business
• Updating and writing HR policies
• Partnering with key members of the management team to embed an inclusive HR culture
• Working with the management team to identify and manage all aspects of recruitment from writing a job description through to onboarding
• Inducting all new joiners and manage their probation
• Providing line managers with support and first line information and advice in relation to HR issues, coaching and best practice
• Completing all documentation and processes for new starters, leavers, changes to details etc
• Managing offer letters and employee contracts
• Supporting in driving the People plan for the company
• Actively seek to improve employee engagement across the organisation
• Creating engaging succession plans and utilise talent management frameworks to best identify performance improvement needs and action accordingly.
• Manage all ER for the business up to an including tribunal bundles
• Support the MD, and coach the senior team to best engage them to ensure continued strategic success
• Work closely with key functional leads across the group to embed any group wide initiatives

Skills, experience and qualifications required

• Proven experience operating in a stand alone HR Manager role within a commercial business
• Experience working within an SME environment would be an advantage
• CIPD qualification would be advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good time management skills and an ability to work under pressure
• Project Management experience
• Strong and current knowledge of UK employment law
