The role will develop, lead and manage the HR function across all aspects of Employee Relations, Recruitment and Learning & Development, taking responsibility for the implementation of HR management strategies, policies and processes in line with the vision and values of RG Carter.
-Undertake a full review of current HR and training policies and procedures
- Shape, develop and implement a clear people strategy that feeds into the overall organisation's business strategy and sets clear direction for HR to enable delivery of a
proactive HR service to the business.
-Work collaboratively and partner with key internal stakeholders within the business to drive through the people agenda in line with R G Carter's objectives.
-Implementation of a HR system that is fit for purpose.
-Provide HR and Training advice to support Managers, Heads of Function and colleagues
-Development of a comprehensive training needs analysis framework, encompassing leadership, management and craft training in conjunction with the Carter Academy.
-Define and lead a talent management strategy, focused on recruitment process, staff development and succession planning.
Skills & experience
-Qualified to Chartered Status of the CIPD
-HR Experience ideally gained in a fast-paced multi-site environment
-Able to work collaboratively with all internal stakeholders.
-Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and best practice.
-An intuitive, analytical and pro-active approach to day-to-day work practices.
-Must demonstrate a keen interest in HR and have a passion for driving and supporting the business.
-Construction experience preferred although not essential
