The key accountability of the Head of Reporting is to plan and coordinate the delivery of the University group's financial statements for approval by the University Council, and for maintaining appropriate accounting policies and practices.

This is a complex role requiring strong technical capability to reflect the activities of a complex international group with total net assets of £4.4bn and income of £1.8 bn.

You will ensure ongoing compliance with UK FRSs and SORP and will advise the Finance Committee on the selection of appropriate accounting policies.

You will also be responsible for the oversight of monthly management accounts production for the University and financial forecasts for the University Group, which includes Cambridge University Press and Cambridge Assessment.

Applicants will be educated to degree level or equivalent and hold a recognised accounting qualification, with good knowledge of UK financial reporting standards.
