Currently recruiting an outstanding opportunity for a Part Qualified Financial Accountant for our client based near Ely. You will manage, maintain and optimise UK finance processes including general ledger integrity across the region.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and posting standard journal entries required for month-end within the specified dates set by group finance
• Oversight of the AP & AR functions, ensuring all entries are coded correctly and have the required supporting documentation
• Maintaining the general ledger accurately and compliance with group accounting manual
• Ownership of the fixed assets register for the sites including tooling
• Preparing and managing cash and banking reconciliations - analysing non-reconciling figures and seeking resolutions
• Preparation and submission of the UK VAT return,Instrastat and EC sales list
• Lead, engage, motivate and develop the accounting function to achieve department KPIs' and nurture an environment of personal responsibility/self-development
• Monitor and manage the training and competence of the accounts team through regular 121's
• Regularly review and challenge transactional processes, driving efficiency improvements to improve data input and output
• Oversight and management of debt factoring relationship and reporting
• Support the preparation of financial audit & tax packs and annual statutory accounts
• Primary user of the ERP system, supporting the training and development of users within the finance function
• Support the annual budget process -preparing information and coordinating the upload of submitted budget numbers into the ERP system
• Contribution to 13 week cash flow forecast

You will be studying ACA or ACCA. Have an understanding of typical business accounting methodologies, VAT, Intrastat and understanding of business controls.
