This industry leader in manufacture and distribution of a wide range of outdoor products are currently seeking someone to join the procurement team. Currently managing a wide range of products they are keen to add additional skills to the team and will tailor the role to the person's capabilities

Purpose of the role

Depending on experience you will be leading on the management of a range of products and services and will be responsible for putting in place and delivering the strategy for you category.

Your Scope

• Ensuring performance delivery against key targets/metrics; cost, quality standards, inventory levels etc.
• Working closely with a range of suppliers.
• Seeking new opportunities to add value
• Associated administration duties.
• Identifying new potential products to take to market
• Sourcing new suppliers
• Working with suppliers across Asia.

What do you need to bring to the table?

  • You must have strong experience in buying finished products
  • Calm under pressure
  • You must have strong experience in the Chinese market in particular
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Have managed multiple SKUs

What do you get?

  • Salary is dependent on experience but is likely to range between £35,000 to £60,000
  • Annual Salary review
