Accounts Assistant required to join a based North Cambridge.

This role will directly support the wider finance team with a variety of duties. The successful candidate will ideally have previous finance background or be looking to get into an accountancy based role. It is essential to have excellent attention to detail and be a good communicator.

Day to day duties are as follows;

-Responsible for cash collection as directed by the Accounts Team Leader to help maintain debtor days at or around 35 days
-Cheque reconciliation and banking as required
-Daily posting of cash receipts and allocation of payments
-Raise and distribute monthly statements
-Sales Order Processing weekly batch process
-Credit checks weekly update and adhoc requests
-Daily monitoring of client list credit status
-Weekly Sales Ledger review with the Accounts Team Leader
-Complete detailed checks of all purchase invoices, expense claims and credit card transactions
-Scanning, coding and posting of authorised purchase invoices
-Download and posting/export of all expense claims and credit card transactions for processing
-Reconcile and post monthly petty cash returns
-Accounts mailbox help to resolve queries, process requests and escalate to the Senior Accounts Assistant when required
-Mid-month reviews with the Senior Accounts Assistant checks and reporting

Good time management and remaining calm under pressure is essential with this role. Excellent telephone manner and a professional approach is important in this role.
