Based at Granta Park (South Cambridge)

I am currently working exclusively with a fantastic not for profit organisation based at Granta Park who are looking for an interim support candidate to support them during their peak period. The organisation specialises in some incredible research and offers a fantastic working environment along with friendly but productive working environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join them on an interim basis and be exposed to their full training package. We are looking for someone with a real thirst for IT that is eager to learn and gain exposure to the real range of technologies and applications used by this business.

Key Tasks:
  • Supporting Windows, Linux and MacOS environments within a support desk environment
  • Providing support via telephone, e-mail and face to face
  • Supporting over 1000 users on various systems and applications at a 1st line level providing basic troubleshooting
  • Working with ticketing system to escalate issues and keep track of tickets
  • Managing own day and workload
  • Working within a team, offering ideas and solutions

Essential Experience:
  • Experience working within a Service / Helpdesk environment
  • Excellent communication skills, via telephone, email and face to face
  • You will have experience supporting Windows and Linux / Unix / Mac
  • A thirst for IT and an aptitude to learn, you will be keen to learn new technologies
  • Happy working within a team
  • Happy working in a fast paced environment
  • Able to offer ideas and solutions
