Local Businesses compete for Charity at Pure's Annual Quiz Night

Companies battled it out at the charity quiz evening hosted by the Ipswich office of Pure Resourcing Solutions, a leading East Anglian independent recruitment company. 20 companies competed raising £1,200 for local charity, East Anglian Children's Hospices (EACH).

The quiz took place on Thursday evening, 26th of February, with commercial and public sector organisations from across Ipswich taking part, including Birketts, Suffolk Coastal District Council
and Grant Thornton. The quiz which included rounds on music, current affairs, history and travel was retained by last year's winners The Paper Company, who each received a bottle of wine.

Pure has been hosting annual quiz nights across East Anglia for five years raising over £6,000. This event is part of the company's long term commitment to raise money for the charity which has included trekking in Peru, parachute jumps and running the London Marathon - in total raising over £18,500 for the charity since 2002.

"This is the 2nd year that we have hosted the quiz and the response from local businesses has been fantastic. A record number of companies took part helping us raise even more than last year, which really is amazing considering the current economic climate. I'd just like to say a big thank you to all the companies that have supported us in helping this worthy cause."

"We all had a very enjoyable night and it was great to see so many teams taking part. The event was really well organised and good fun - it is good to see so much being raised for such a great cause."
